Animation
Animation includes traditional cartoon-animation as well as motion graphics and kinetic typography.

Work that is considered cinematic relies on film codes or techniques in both time-based and interactive new media work.

Interactive Media
Interactive projects require user input and can include hypertext, Flash, Quicktime and DHTML work.

Kinetic Typography
Combining text with motion brings new possibilities to new media poetry. Kinetic typography includes all work that integrates text, type, and movement.

Reactive
Like time-based work, reactive projects focus on temporality but instead of unfolding over time, reactive work responds in real time to the immediate actions of a viewer.

Sound
Sound poetry encompasses music, spoken word, avant-garde concrete, surrealist, and futurist poetry that focuses on the materiality and sound of words.

Spoken word / Poems read aloud
These projects celebrate the oral nature of poetry, and include poems performed or read aloud.

Work that focuses on the written sign and the materiality of letters and words.

Time-Based Media
Time based media unfolds over time without the viewer's input. This includes dance, performance, sound, film, and animation.
